Changes

A new hair cut is what I needed the most and finally got one today… this time a new style

Well, I really like to experiment with pretty much everything in my life just for a single reason: I need change. I remember while in school, I used to change outlook of my room every month. I never studied sitting at one location, neither can I work sitting at same seat. I am total foodie and I love to experiment with different cuisines and getting to know different cultures.  Diversity drives me and that keeps my life moving.

I don’t have luxury of having my own room here or changing my seat here (LOL), but still I keep changing my desktop designs and wallpapers every fortnight. I try new outfits and fashions to keep myself up-to-date with changes. A change brings something fresh into existence and I really love that because change brings new possibilities with it.

Topic?

A topic destroys the beauty of art. I just want to write today. I am just trying to capture the spontaneity of ideas & thoughts in the mind and attaching it with a word, that’s it!

If there is a topic on which I need to write, ideas will be limited in nature and so will be work. If there is no topic in hand, world is full of possibility and that gives tremendous freedom for any art work. Also flow is very important in a piece of art and when there is freedom, flow is not artificial.

It’s like a sweetened juice, which is pre-occupied with a taste. What other taste can you put on it? Isn’t it limited compared to normal water which has infinite possibility of what you can make it? So I always find it easy to give words to my own thoughts and then decide the topic for the work. Choosing a topic later is another tedious task because it has outfit the mood with which the art is prepared and should also do justice to words that are being chosen. All in all, a challenging work but very interesting. Why interesting?

Because it’s amazing to get connected to the source of ideas and observe the flow of thoughts taking shape spontaneously and being crafted beautifully into a shape. Many times I can’t believe that I have just given birth to piece of art which is so beautiful. And best part is: spontaneity is so amazing that I can hardly make any art at will. Many artists feel the same way. They need that connection, that gap of thoughts which is the mother of all inventions and creations.  Story writers visit places and movie directors find solace to get into that being which gives ideas for their art-works. Isn’t it amazing that what people call their art work actually comes from somewhere they are not even aware about? Does the art work really owned by artist at all?
